European Robotics AB develops a fully European Flight & Vehicle Control Unit and electronics stack that powers drones, UGVs, surface and underwater vehicles. When global supply chains are disrupted, Europe still needs to move, see and protect itself.
ER-FCU (European Robotics – Flight & Vehicle Control Unit) powers drones, UGVs, surface and underwater vehicles – all built with European electronics to secure the EU supply chain. Platforms can be operated both via autonomous mission planning and manual control from an operator or pilot station.
Most flight controllers and autonomy electronics today depend on components from outside Europe. In a crisis, that can mean grounded fleets, empty warehouses and delayed operations. European Robotics AB builds a complete control core with EU components, so that critical missions, geotechnical surveys, rescue operations and security tasks can continue – even when imports stop.
At the core of our ecosystem is the ER-FCU (European Robotics – Flight & Vehicle Control Unit). It is the same brain across drones, UGVs, surface vessels and underwater platforms – simplifying integration, logistics and training. ER-FCU works with most common ground-control and mission planning software, and we can provide a free base version to customers starting integration.
ER-FCU combines redundant sensor suites, safety-critical power design, secure boot and crypto, deterministic real-time OS and modular I/O. It is built as a plug-and-play hub for current and future sensors and payloads.
ER-FCU/VCU is built to work with the most common mission planning and GCS software in the market. For customers without an existing stack, we can provide a basic control software package to get you started – and evolve together towards more advanced autonomy.
Our drone solutions are built around the ER-FCU with plug-and-play telemetry, GPS and sensor modules. Aircraft can be flown via PC with a dedicated controller and joystick – giving a pilot-like feeling while maintaining safe autonomy.
Our engineering team can support customers with airframe and mechanical design – from early sketches to detailed CAD for drones tailored to European Robotics electronics.
Our ground platforms – tracked and wheeled – are built on the same control core as our air and maritime systems. The result is a robust UGV platform that can be teleoperated like a drone, or run semi-autonomous missions.
If you are developing your own UGV concept and need a European electronics stack, we can provide ER-FCU, telemetry, GPS, sensors and integration support – designed to meet EU requirements and reduce export-control risks.
Designed for harsh environments. Built in Europe. Optimized for your mission.
European Robotics develops advanced UGV chassis that are fully integrated with ER-FCU/VCU.
We offer both standardized rover platforms and customer-specific designs – whether you bring
your own chassis concept or want our engineering team to design one from scratch.
If you already have a rover/UGV chassis or an early concept, we can tune it for full compatibility with ER-FCU and our EU electronics ecosystem. If you prefer, we can also create a complete chassis design tailored to your mission profiles and integration needs.
Our control electronics can be used in surface vessels for coastal security, harbor monitoring, geotechnical surveys and inspection missions. We are both developing our own surface platforms and open to collaboration with other ship and boat designers.
We work with shipyards, marine engineers and system integrators who need European electronics to enable autonomous or semi-autonomous surface vessels for both civil and defense purposes.
Our underwater vehicle concepts are in an early development phase – but the ER-FCU electronics are already designed to support ROV and AUV operations. We are open to partners that want to co-develop next-generation underwater platforms.
ER-FCU can integrate sonar, depth sensors, cameras and custom payloads. We design plug-in modules for underwater communication and are open for collaboration with sensor manufacturers, AI camera providers and system integrators.
Beyond the core flight & vehicle control unit, we develop and integrate the next generation of electronics: sensors, GPS, transmitters, receivers and anti-jamming solutions – for both offensive and defensive use in protecting European infrastructure.
We participate in selected trade fairs and technical events in Europe. Below are some of the key exhibitions where you can meet us and see our technology.
